Bleck Scores Twice, Tomahawks Shut Out Warriors 4-0

Johnstown, Pa. – Cam Bleck scored a pair of goals, and Ryan Bednard stopped all 27 shots he faced, as the Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the Michigan Warriors 4-0 on Friday night in Flint, Mich. The Tomahawks have now won three of their last four games.

            After a scoreless first period, Bleck opened the scoring 5:41 into the second period. Alex Jaeckle and Peter Bates each added assists on Bleck’s fifth goal of the season.

Later in the period, Andrew Romano gave Johnstown (4-4-0) a 2-0 lead with his second goal of the season. Romano now has four points in his last five games. Casey Linkenheld was credited with the assist on the Romano goal.

After going on the power-play, the Tomahawks extended their lead to three, as Jaeckle scored at 9:43 of the third period. Casey Linkenheld and Tanner Barnes provided the assists. Bleck made it 4-0 less than two minutes later, giving him four points in three games against the Warriors. Josh Bowes and Ryan Bochert earned the assists on the power-play goal.

            Bednard earned his first shutout win of the season, stopping all 27 shots he faced. Trevor Gorsuch took the loss for Michigan (3-7-0), stopping 31 of 35 shots. The Tomahawks went 2-for-8 on the power play, while killing all five of their penalties.
