EXPERIENCE ALEX JAECKLE!
Alex is a defenseman from St. Clair Shores, Michigan who has all the tools to be successful! He has good size and skates extremely well. #24 is physical on opposing forwards whether it's taking them 1-on-1, battling along the boards, or applying a good open ice check. He has a great shot from the point and likes to initiate offense from the back-end. Jaeckle worked extremely hard off the ice over the summer and came into camp is a great shape! He's a great teammate and has a nice personality fans will enjoy! Alex has already been active in the community and something he intends to continue to do all season long! EXPERIENCE ALEX JAECKLE! You are #24, why did you choose that number?
AJ: This is my first time wearing #24, but I have always been a huge fan of Detroit's Chris Chelios so that's why I picked to wear it this season.
Favorite place to eat in Johnstown so far?
AJ: I have only been to a few so places far but my favorite is Scott's By Dam next to the rink, I love the tacos! Food is great, everyone has been very welcoming and they get me excited for the season to start from all the great things they talk about from last season!
Where do you currently live?
AJ: Currently live in Westmont with a really nice family. Tien, Bednard and I all live there so it's nice to be able to spend so much time with the other guys from Michigan on the team.
Favorite movie?
AJ: My favorite movie of all time is definitely Miracle on Ice as it's obviously a hockey classic, but it's very inspiring and the team camaraderie is how almost all hockey teams truly are.
Favorite music?
AJ: Blink-182 is my favorite band; their music get me energetic and ready to go for the game.
What do you look forward to this season?
AJ: I'm really looking forward to better my hockey skills and playing in front of a great atmosphere at the War Memorial!
