Your Tomahawks head east this weekend, visiting the Aston Rebels Friday night and the New Jersey Titans Saturday night. The Tomahawks enter the weekend four points behind both Aston and New Jersey for first place in the East Division.

The weekend opens against the Rebels, who the Tomahawks have gone 2-4-1 against this season. Aston won the first three meetings, before Johnstown swept them at the War Memorial Nov. 27 and 28. The Rebels returned the favor two weeks later, sweeping the Tomahawks in Aston.

Luke Lynch and Kelly O’Brien lead the Tomahawks with eight points against the Rebels this season. Lynch leads the team with five goals, three of which came in the first period of the Tomahawks 8-3 victory Nov. 28. O’Brien holds the team lead with seven assists against Aston.

Defenseman Kristofers Bindulis leads Aston with nine points (one goal, eight assists) against the Tomahawks this season. Michael Merulla has four goals in five games against Johnstown.

Following Friday’s game, the Tomahawks and Rebels meet eight more times this season, with six of those meetings taking place at the War Memorial. The Rebels close out the season series at home during the penultimate weekend of the regular season, March 25 and 26.
