Mar 12, 2015

JOHNSTOWN, PA- The Johnstown Tomahawks are proud to announce that forward Collin Montgomery has committed to Endicott College (MA).

The Spring Mills, PA native has appeared in 38 games for the Tomahawks this season, scoring six points (1 goal, 5 assists).

“I am very proud of Collin for earning this opportunity with Endicott. He came to our camp this past summer and earned a spot on our team. He has worked extremely hard day in and day out,” said Tomahawks head coach Mike Letizia.

Montgomery brought valuable NAHL experience to the Tomahawks locker room, after playing for Wenatchee and Topeka during the last two seasons.

“His personality and veteran leadership has gone a long way in our locker room as well. I am very happy for him and I know he is going to be a big part of their team next season,” said Letizia.

Montgomery heads to an Endicott program that will be coached by R.J. Tolan. Tolan was previously an assistant coach at Northeastern University and Bentley University.

"I'm pretty excited to not only be furthering my hockey career, but to also be going to a school that offers the field I want to study. To have both opportunities is very exciting. I don't have to sacrifice one for the other," said Montgomery.

Montgomery and the rest of the Tomahawks will look to solidify their playoff status, as they welcome the Michigan Warriors to the War Memorial this Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. For more information, call 814-536-4625.
