Second Annual Pucks N’ Paws Night to be Held on Sunday
By Ed Sheets
The second annual Pucks N’ Paws night will be held during the 3 p.m. game on Sunday October 6th against the Springfield Jr. Blues. Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the game to participate in a variety of activities. A donation of $5 per dog is suggested and donations will be collected in the lobby on game day. All donations made will benefit the Johnstown Police Department K-9 Unit.
“The inaugural Pucks N’ Paws Night was a huge success, and we are looking forward to seeing all of our two- and four- legged Tomahawks fans in attendance on Sunday”, said Game-Day Operations and Community Relations Manager Whitney Pappas.
Activities taking place during Sunday’s game include a Tomahawks bandana giveaway for the first 100 dogs, a pet parade during the first intermission, and a pet friendly atmosphere with the music lowered and a special goal celebration used instead of the goal horn. Local businesses offering a variety of pet services will also have displays in the concourse.
The Tomahawks are also home on Saturday night October 5th, hosting the Jr. Blues in a 7 p.m. game. Tickets for both Saturday and Sunday’s games can be purchased at www.johnstowntomahawks.com or at the War Memorial box office.
