Three Tomahawks Earn Divisional Awards

The North American Hockey League announced the divisional awards yesterday, with three Tomahawks players earning awards. Andrew Romano and Luke Lynch earned All-East Division team honors, while Drew Doyon was named the East Division Leadership Award. Lynch was also named the East Division Forward of the Year.

Lynch provided offensive firepower for the Tomahawks all season, setting a new single-season goal  record. He tallied 56 points (29 goals, 27 assists) in 57 games, while also leading the team with a +/- of +17. Lynch finished the season tied for fifth in the league with 29 goals and was tied with Andrew Romano for ninth in the league with 56 points.

In his second season with the Tomahawks, Romano tallied 56 points (17 goals, 39 assists) in 60 games. Romano led the team with 39 assists, which was tied for seventh in the lead. Romano has three points in the Tomahawks first three playoff games.

Doyon joined the Tomahawks after two seasons with the Aberdeen Wings. He played in 49 games for the Tomahawks this season, scoring seven goals and adding ten assists. Doyon earned East Division Star of the Week honors after scoring a goal and adding two assists in a weekend series against New Jersey.

The Tomahawks begin their East Division Finals series against the Aston Rebels this Friday and Saturday nights.
