Tomahawks and Health Care First Credit Union Team Up for “Red Out”

Feb 18, 2014

The Johnstown Tomahawks are proud to partner with Health Care First Credit Union for a “Red Out” in support of American Heart Month and the American Heart Association. The Tomahawks will wear their red jerseys during the 7:30 p.m. game, and fans are encouraged to wear red to the game to create a “Red Out” inside the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.

A representative from the American Heart Association will be in attendance on Friday night to talk to fans and provide information on their organization and American Heart Month. Fans can also purchase red hearts for $1 each at the game, with the proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association. Fans who purchase a heart will be eligible for prizes, including a Family Hockey Night prize package. “Our goal is to fill the stands with as many hearts as possible,” said Health Care First Credit Union Marketing Director Nancy Urban.

Health Care First Credit Union has been active in supporting American Hearth Month for several years, showing support for local healthcare workers. “We have members who work in healthcare, so we like to participate in health-related activities. We have participated in a variety of heart health activities, and we like to take things one step further each year,” said Urban.

Urban also said that she appreciates the support of the Tomahawks for this event. “Last season, we brought a group to a game, and we decided we wanted to use the game this season to raise awareness of American Heart Month and the American Heart Association. We appreciate the support of the Tomahawks organization and their fans for their cooperation in support of this important cause,” said Urban.
