Tomahawks Announce Guns & Hoses Jersey Auction

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Tomahawks are pleased to announce the team’s first jersey auction of the season in conjunction with Guns & Hoses Night on Saturday, Oct. 6. As part of the festivities to honor the local heroes of the community’s fire and police departments, fans will have the opportunity to bid on specialty jerseys worn by Tomahawks players during their 7:00 p.m. matchup against the Janesville Jets. All proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania – Cambria County.

In Section 22 of the War Memorial Arena, a silent auction for the game-worn jerseys specially designed for the evening will begin when the arena gates open at 6:00 p.m. and end when local police and fire departments hit the ice for the free exhibition game directly following the Tomahawks game. Bids start at a minimum of $100 per jersey.

Throughout the Tomahawks game, volunteers and representatives from multiple local departments will sell Chuck-a-Pucks and 50/50 tickets, the proceeds of which will also benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania-Cambria County. Also going to the charity will be $1 from each ticket sold to groups of 10 or more who purchase seats in the Sideline and Endzone areas by calling the Tomahawks office (814-536-4625).

The Tomahawks face the division-rival Janesville Jets for a back-to-back homestand this Saturday (7:00 p.m.) and Sunday (6:00 p.m.). To purchase season or group tickets in advance of the event, or for additional information, call 814-536-4625, email info@johnstowntomahawks.com, or visit www.JohnstownTomahawks.com.
