JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown Tomahawks are gearing up for the traditional New Year’s Eve weekend at 1ST SUMMT ARENA against the Midwest Division-leading Fairbanks Ice Dogs on Saturday, Dec. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 31.
Entering a nine-game home stand, the team will look to end 2017 on a positive note by playing three-time Robertson Cup champion, Fairbanks, who come into this weekend’s contest with a record of 19-5-5.
Saturday’s game at 7 p.m., features the first-ever “Guaranteed Win” Night presented by the Pennsylvania Lottery. Fans are guaranteed to win prizes from our local partners including Firehouse Subs, Jake’s Pub & Grill, Subway, Sweet Frog, Westwood Plaza Theatre, Wendy’s, the Altoona Curve and much more!
Additionally, the team will be passing our 2018 Calendars to the first 2,000 fans.
The Tomahawks will celebrate New Year’s Eve by wearing specialty tuxedo jerseys courtesy of Scott’s By Dam.
The souvenir jerseys will be available for auction throughout the game via the DASH Auction app with proceeds benefiting the Tomahawks Foundation.
Local band, RED PAINT, will be performing throughout the game in the Party Pit. The band will be mixing a diverse blend of influences and talents.
Fans are also encouraged to bring their skates, as the team will host an post-game skate with players immediately following the game. Skate rentals are available on-site.
