The Tomahawks make their first trip of the season to Springfield this weekend, for a three game series against the Jr. Blues. The Tomahawks and Blues will meet 10 times this season with six of those contests being played in Springfield. The next meeting between the two teams will take place Jan. 11-12 in Johnstown.
Last season, the Tomahawks and Jr. Blues split their eight meetings, with each team winning their four home games. Trevor Rectenwald led all current Tomahawks with three points (0G-3A) against the Jr. Blues.
Following this weekend’s games, the Tomahawks return home next Friday to start a home-and-home series against the Keystone Ice Miners. Face-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Cambria County War Memorial.
North Division
All six division teams will battle each other this weekend, as Keystone travels to Janesville and Michigan travels to Soo. Janesville currently holds a six point lead over Soo for second place in the division.
