Jun 19, 2017

When we talk about Dalton Hunter, two words come to mind.

Breakout season.

The longest-tenured Tomahawks player set new career highs in every statistical category and electrified the War Memorial each time he skated onto the ice.

Hunter played a total of 58 games with the Tomahawks during regular season. Throughout those games he scored 61 points (30 goals 31 assists). Eight of his goals were game winning goals, and he racked up 63 penalty minutes.

Drafted in 2014, Hunter has been a valuable member of the Tomahawks family over the years. He was named the Bauer East Division Star of the week multiple times during the 2016-17 season, and even earned the honor multiple weeks in a row.

Because of his superb play, Dalton earned a mid-season call-up to the USHL’s Youngstown Phantoms, notching two points (one goal, one assist) in two games played.

Hunter was also selected to play in the 2017 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament. He played two games on the NAHL Selects team where he scored 3 points (1 goal and 2 assists).

Hunter has committed to play Division I hockey for Mercyhurst in 2018-19. The Tomahawks family could not be more proud of him and the work that he put in this season.
