Horn Commits To SUNY-Oswego

May 22, 2017

JOHNSTOWN The Johnstown Tomahawks are proud to announce that forward Tommy Horn has committed to play Division III hockey at SUNY-Oswego beginning in Fall 2017.

Horn, a native of Pittsburgh, completed his second season with the Tomahawks in 2016-17, earning 25 points (nine goals, 16 assists) in 39 games. The forward led the Tomahawks in penalty minutes with 192.

He was also an assistant captain.

“I’m very happy for Tommy on his commitment to Oswego,” head coach Mike Letizia said. “They are consistently one of the top programs in the NCAA and their style of play and atmosphere should fit Tommy perfectly.”

Horn had an up and down season, according to Letizia, but battled through the adversity to have a solid campaign.

“Tommy’s season was a bit of a roller coaster with some of the different time periods he missed due to injury and illness but he was a very effective player for our team,” Letizia said. “I think that he has the chance to have a huge impact at Oswego when he arrives in the fall.”

Located in Oswego, N.Y., the Lakers compete in the State University of New York Athletic Conference.

Season ticket packages for the 2017-18 season are now available for less than $99. To place an order, go to JohnstownTomahawks.com/seasontickets or stop by the Tomahawks office to fill out an application.
