Johnstown Suffers 7-3 Loss to Rebels

The Johnstown Tomahawks suffer a 7-3 loss to the Jamestown Rebels on Saturday night at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA, splitting the weekend series in Johnstown.

Jamestown dominated the 1st period, scoring four goals, highlighted by James Miller scoring on the power play 14:14 into the game. The Rebels swagger continued into the 2nd when Ryan Waltman scored 27 seconds into the period, giving Jamestown a 5-0 lead.

The Tomahawks responded at the 6:07 mark with a goal of their own coming from defenseman Frank Jenkins. Shortly after though, Jamestown added on another power play goal from John Lundy to give the Rebels a demanding 6-1 lead for the 3rd period.

Johnstown held the Rebels off the board in the 3rd until the 10:19 mark when Lucas Klemm scored, increasing the game to a 7-1 Jamestown lead. The Tomahawks got a little bit of life late in the 3rd, with goals coming from Egan Schmitt and Sean Ramsay to make it a 7-3 lead for the Rebels, which would go on to be the final score in Saturday’s contest.

The two teams face off again Monday afternoon at 1 PM in Jamestown, New York, for a make-up game from November. The game will be broadcasted live on HockeyTV.
