Tomahawks Earn 6-2 Win Over Rebels

The Tomahawks won 6-2 against the Jamestown Rebels in the final of three games this week Saturday night at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA.

The Tomahawks would strike first on Saturday night as Cole Bianchin scored his first goal of the season 44 seconds into the game. Just under four minutes later, Reid Lune tied the game up at 1. While on the power play, defenseman Frank Jenkins scored his fourth goal of the season and first with the Tomahawks 9:32 into the period to give the Tomahawks back the lead.

After some dandy puck handling from Jacob Badal, he assists on Sean Ramsay’s goal midway through the 2nd period to make it 3-1 Hawks. Not too long after, Zack Murray drug the puck across in front of Jamestown’s netminder Nolan Suggs and put the puck in the back of the net making it 4-1 Hawks. Jamestown’s Marcus Kivela Carlzon added to the scoring on the power play with 9.7 seconds left in the period making it 4-2, still in favor of the Tomahawks, to start the 3rd period.

Johnstown extends their lead halfway through the 2nd to 5-2 with Ramsay netting his second goal of the game and fifth of the season. Ryan Vellucci added on another goal for the Tomahawks with only 1:45 to go in regulation, giving the Tomahawks a 6-2 advantage to close out the game.

The Tomahawks head out on the road next week to face off against the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks in Connecticut on Thursday, December 2 at 8 PM and Friday, December 3 at 3 PM. Both games will be streamed live on HockeyTV.
