Tomahawks Fall To Knights in Weekend Finale

PITTSTON – The Johnstown Tomahawks and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights engaged in a physical contest Saturday night at Revolution Ice Centre. When the dust settled, the Knights picked up the 2-0 victory.

 

Things got going in the first period, as Drew Doyon and Tim Gelatt dropped the gloves at 8:34.

 

After a scoreless first period, the Knights got on the board early in the second period, as Blake Busch scored 1:23 into the period. Jacob Hamacher and Joseph Campolieto added the assists on the goal.

 

Jacob Hamacher set the final score with an empty net goal at 19:11 of the third period.

 

Grant Valentine earned the win, stopping all 45 shots he faced. Andrew Lindgren suffered the loss, stopping 34 of 35 shots. The Tomahawks went 0-for-5 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.
