JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown Tomahawks, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce that the team will again partner with the Humane Society of Cambria County and Cambria Vet Care for the annual Pucks & Paws hockey game set for Sunday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m.
Pucks & Paws is an annual promotion in which fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the game for a $5 donation to the Humane Society of Cambria County.
This season Cambria Vet Care will sponsor a souvenir dog leash giveaway and the team will also be accepting donations of dog food and other pet supplies for the Humane Society.
“We look forward to Pucks & Paws each season,” Humane Society executive director, Jessica Vamos, said. “This event helps us raise funds and connect dog lovers with adoptable dogs, and, most importantly, this event finds FURever homes!”
Tickets to the Tomahawks game can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or in person at the 1ST SUMMIT ARENA Box Office during normal business hours.
The Tomahawks return to 1ST SUMMIT ARENA for the home opener on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Former Steelers wide receiver and Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward will be on hand to drop the ceremonial first puck. His appearance is presented by 1st Summit Bank, GapVax, Toyota and UPMC Health Plan.
