Tomahawks to participate in Skating, Fall Fun This Weekend

Fans will have four opportunities to hang out with Chopper some of and the Tomahawks this weekend, as they participate in events in Ebensburg, Richland, and Hollsopple. The events are part of the final weekend before the home opener on October 25th.

The fun begins on Friday night, as some of the players will participate in the first public skating session of the year from 6-8 p.m. at the North Central Recreation Center in Ebensburg. Some of the players will also participate in public skating at the NCRC on Saturday night from 6-8 p.m.

On Saturday, fans are invited to Faranda’s Farm in Hollsopple for an afternoon of fall fun, along with appearances by Chopper and the Tomahawks between 1-6 p.m. Tomahawks season ticket holders and Tomahawks Kids Club members save $6 on admission if they bring a non-perishable food item to benefit local food pantries.

On Sunday, Tomahawks Kids Club members are invited to a members-only Kids Club Skate at Planet Ice in Richland. The event begins at 1 p.m. with an autograph session, along with games and activities. The skating session with the team runs from 2-4 p.m. Admission is $2, and kids can bring their own skates or take advantage of free skate rental. These events lead up to the home opener against the Keystone Ice Miners on October 25th. The third annual HawkeyFest presented by Sheetz begins at 5 p.m., with music, activities, and food in front of the Cambria County War Memorial Arena. Face-off is set for 7 p.m. between the Tomahawks and Ice Miners.
