Weekend Preview: Thank You, Fans

Your Johnstown Tomahawks finish the regular season with a two-game weekend series against the Philadelphia Rebels at 1st SUMMIT ARENA @ Cambria County War Memorial Friday and Saturday night.

Johnstown comes into the weekend well-rested, not having played since March 23-25 when they took two of three from the New Jersey Titans.

Roman Kraemer had a very productive month of March, notching 14 points (three goals and 11 assists) in nine games played. His best was a five-point effort against New Jersey on March 24, where the Tomahawks won 7-2.

Joe Kile has also had a productive month, tallying 13 points (six goals and seven assists) in nine games. His best also came in the 7-2 victory over Jersey, where he had four points on the night.

It will either be Jack Leavy or Kade Phipps in net for the Tomahawks this weekend. Starting a majority of the games recently, Leavy has posted a 11-11-2 record in 25 games played, a 2.82 goals against average, and a 0.913 save percentage.

In 20 games played, Phipps has a 11-7-0 record, a 2.45 goals against average, and a 0.922 save percentage.

Philadelphia sits in first place in the East with 82 points and have already clinched the division title and a number one seed going into the playoffs. They have lost four of their last seven but won their most recent game against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 7-1 on Wednesday night.

Forward Ryan Patrick is currently on a four-game point streak and has ten points (three goals and seven assists) in his last nine games.

Another player to watch is forward Brandon Stanley, who has a four-game point streak of his own. He’s also tallied nine points (four goals and five assists) in his last nine games.

Ryan Keane and Eli Billing look to be in goal for the Rebels this weekend. In 32 games played, Keane posts a 23-7-0 record, a 1.90 goals against average, and a 0.925 save percentage.

In 26 games played, Billing posts a 14-8-2 record, a 2.50 goals against average, and a 0.905 save percentage.
