JOHNSTOWN — The Johnstown Tomahawks, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are excited to announce that Nick Perri will join the organization as an assistant coach.
A native of Suffern, New York, Perri joins the Tomahawks after spending last season with the Soo Eagles of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League in a similar role.
“I am very excited to bring Nick onto our staff as he embodies the traits that we were looking for in the person to take on our assistant coach position,” head coach Mike Letizia said. “He has an incredible passion for the game and the development of players, and he is extremely knowledgeable with recruiting, video instruction, and his attention to detail. When talking to different references about Nick, they all continued to give us the same information about his work ethic, coaching ability, and eye for the game.”
Perri helped Soo earn a 35-20-1 record and a berth in the post-season. He also headed up their video and analytical departments.
Prior to moving to the NOJHL, Perri spent the 2016-17 season as an assistant coach and assistant general manager with the Binghamton Jr. Senators of the North American 3 Hockey League. Under his guidance, the Jr. Senators captured he NA3HL Northeast Division regular season and playoff championships with a combined record of 49-1-1 before losing by one goal in the single-elimination semi-finals of the Silver Cup championship tournament.

I am extremely excited and extremely honored to be joining the Johnstown Tomahawks,” Perri said. “It has been a goal of mine to return to the North American Hockey League and to compete for the Robertson Cup, and I look forward to doing so in Johnstown alongside Coach Letizia. My family is very excited to be part of the Johnstown community, and to call ourselves Tomahawks.”
