1st SUMMIT ARENA, Tomahawks Partner to Present Penguins Alumni Classic

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — Former members of the Pittsburgh Penguins will be heading to 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial in March to take on the Johnstown Tomahawks in the Penguins Alumni Classic.

1st SUMMIT ARENA @ Cambria County War Memorial announced Friday that it will host a game between the Tomahawks and the Penguins alumni team on Friday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m. in Johnstown.

“We are excited to bring Pens legends to the arena” said Steve St. John, 1st SUMMIT ARENA general manager. “The event allows us to give the fans of Johnstown a unique experience”

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, Feb. 16 at 10:00 a.m. and are $10 each. They can be bought at the arena box office or online at Ticketmaster.com.

A VIP Upgrade will also be available for $40. The upgrade will allow VIP access to the Pens Alumni for photographs, autographs and an opportunity to skate with the alumni after the game. VIP ticket holders can either bring their own skates or rent a pair from the arena.

Funds raised from the game will benefit various local charities.

The Penguins alumni roster visiting Johnstown for the event includes fan favorites, such as six-time Stanley Cup champion and Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier, current Pens radio host Phil Bourque and analyst Jay Caufield, 2009 Stanley Cup winner Tyler Kennedy, present in-studio analyst for AT&T SportsNet Colby Armstrong and many more.

It’s going to be a night to remember as past legends collide with the young talent of today.
