GARY BIGGS

PRESIDENT OF HOCKEY OPERATIONS

Gary Biggs was named Director of Player Personnel in October of 2024, then promoted to President of Hockey Operations in July 2025. A graduate of Youngstown State University in 2012, Biggs left the hockey program as the goaltender with the most wins, most shutouts, highest save percentage, and most games played in program history. A native of New Jersey, Biggs played his youth hockey for the Rockets Hockey Club and played Junior hockey for the New Jersey Titans.

After graduating in 2012, Biggs quickly climbed the scouting ranks as he got his start with the Kenai River Brown Bears of the NAHL. After two years with the Brown Bears, Biggs continued his upward trajectory as he landed with the Barrie Colts of the OHL as the lead American scout. While with the Barrie Colts, Biggs helped the program finish in second place for three consecutive seasons while increasing the Colts’ American Player pool. Biggs returned to New Jersey after the 2017 season when he assumed the role of Director of Scouting for the New Jersey Titans NAHL, where he spent the last 8 seasons. In his time with New Jersey, Biggs helped construct the 2022 New Jersey Titans Robertson Cup Championship team. Under Biggs’ guidance, the scouting department identified the East Division’s best 72 NCAA Division 1 Commitments in 8 years.

Gary resides in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, with his wife Samantha, son Tanner, and daughter Ella.


ADAM HOULI

Adam Houli was named Head Coach of the Johnstown Tomahawks in July 2025. A graduate of Trinity College in 2011 with a degree in Public Policy and Law, Houli has built a strong reputation as one of the top developmental minds in junior hockey. A native of New Jersey, he played his youth and junior hockey in the Garden State before transitioning into coaching and management.

Houli founded the New Jersey 87s in 2016 and served as the team’s Head Coach, General Manager, and Owner. Under his leadership, the 87s quickly became one of the premier programs in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL), capturing five championships since 2018, including two EHL titles. Houli’s organization has advanced over 100 players to the NCAA and higher levels of hockey, earning him widespread respect for his commitment to player development.

From 2016 to 2019, Houli also served as an Assistant Coach and Scout for the New Jersey Titans of the NAHL. In 2022, he was named an Assistant Coach for Team USA at the Maccabi Games in Israel, where the team won a gold medal.

Known for his relentless work ethic and deep understanding of the game, Houli brings a high-tempo, detail-oriented, and highly competitive style to the Tomahawks bench, aligning with the blue-collar identity of Johnstown. His goal is to build a championship-caliber team that reflects the pride and passion of the local community.

Adam currently resides in New Jersey with his wife Rachel, his sons Jake and Hudson, and daughter Dakota.


NICK MISH

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER AND DIRECTOR OF GOALTENDING DEVELOPMENT

Nick Mish was promoted to Assistant General Manager and Director of Goaltending Development of the Johnstown Tomahawks in July 2025 after spending six seasons with the organization. 

Since joining the Tomahawks, Mish has been instrumental in the success of the team’s goaltending department. Under his guidance, Tomahawks goaltenders have consistently ranked among the best in the league, including a season where they allowed the fewest goals in the East Division. His coaching played a key role in the development of Alex Tracy, named East Division Goaltender of the Year, and David Tomeo, who earned an NCAA Division I commitment to Sacred Heart University.

A Johnstown native, Mish led Bishop McCort to a Penguins Cup title in 1997 as a freshman goaltender. He went on to play junior hockey in British Columbia and was selected in the Ontario Hockey League draft by the Erie Otters.

Outside of his work with the Tomahawks, Mish is the owner and founder of ETM Goaltending Development, training goaltenders across the Pittsburgh region and the Mid-American District. He is also involved in coaching youth and prep hockey programs.

Nick resides in Brownstown with his wife, Sara, and their two children, Easton and Layla.

 


GEOFFREY BEAUPARLANT

ASSISTANT COACH AND DIRECTOR OF PLAYER PERSONNEL

Geoffrey Beauparlant is an experienced hockey veteran with over 20 years of expertise across the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), North American Hockey League (NAHL), United States Hockey League (USHL), and American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). 
 
He was promoted to the Director of Player Personnel position in July 2025 and was hired as an Assistant Coach in August 2025. He plays a key role in the team’s strategic development and player advancement. Coach Beauparlant joined the Tomahawks following a successful five-year tenure as the General Manager and Head Coach at West Chester University, where he led the program to national prominence earning Coach of the Year Honors in the 2023-2024 season.  He guided the Golden Rams to two ECHA Playoff Championships (2023 & 2025), two ECHA Regular Season Championships (2024 & 2025), and two ACHA National Tournament Appearances (2024 & 2025).
 
His international and top-tier junior coaching experience includes serving as an Assistant Coach for Team Canada during the 2023 World Cup of University Hockey earning a silver medal.  He held a significant leadership role with the Kenai River Brown Bears as Head Coach and Associate General Manager. Geoff served as an Assistant Coach for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs when they captured the Robertson Cup in 2011.  Beauparlant has also spent time as the Eastern USA Scout for the Saginaw Spirit in the OHL, and a Regional Scout for the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL.
 
Geoff resides in Malvern, Pennsylvania with his wife Heather, and his two sons Luc & Ian.
