The Johnstown Tomahawks will wrap-up their 2025 NAHL Showcase with a showdown versus the Midwest Division’s Wisconsin Windigo on Saturday, September 27th, in Blaine, MN. Puck drop will be at 10:00AM ET/9:00AM CT and can be streamed on NATV.
A LOOK BACK AT LAST SEASON
Saturday morning’s showdown will for the third time in three games, mark the first time these two teams have matched up in the history of both organizations. The Windigo entered the North American Hockey League in 2022, so they’re a relatively new organization to the NAHL, while the Tomahawks are currently in year 13 in their history.
In their 3 year history, Wisconsin has been extremely successful, making the playoffs every year and making it through atleast the 1st round. They even made it to the final four last season, ultimately losing in round 3. The Tomahawks were ultimately outlasted by their East Division rival Rochester Jr. Americans in Game 5 of an extremely entertaining series in the 1st round of the NAHL playoffs.
2025-2026 KEYS TO THE MATCHUP
- Tomahawks first year Head Coach Adam Houli begins his tenure with new team captain Nick Jarmain as they look to bring the first Robertson Cup to Johnstown.
- The Windigo are led by defensemen Declan Burns who has five points through his first six games (1G, 4A).
- The Tomahawks have gotten off to a blistering start in 2025 with a 4-1-1 record and scoring 25 goals in those five games while surrendering 19.
The Tomahawks are riding high after a strong win versus the St. Cloud Norsemen and will look to grab a winning record of 2-1 before heading out of Blaine for the season.
