Carter Dwyer Announces Commitment to Bentley

Mar 5, 2019

JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown Tomahawks are pleased to announce that defenseman and assistant captain Carter Dwyer committed to Division I Bentley University Tuesday afternoon.
Dwyer, of West Chester, Pa., has nine points (three goals, six assists) in 23 games played. He also earned the NAHL’s defenseman of the month award for his play during the month of February.
“I am so proud of Carter on his commitment to Bentley University,” head coach Mike Letizia said. “He has truly embodied perseverance and dedication to trusting the process. He is someone who gives us every ounce of what he has each time he steps on the ice, and has been a stable part of our back end. “
“Carter plays a tenacious style of hockey as a physical d man, but has shown he has an offensive side to his game as well. Two way d-men who play as hard as Carter are such great pieces to a team’s puzzle and we are hopeful Carter will bring that to the Falcons in the fall.”
Located in Waltham, Mass., the Falcons compete in the Atlantic Hockey Association.
Dwyer joins teammate Hunter Toale on the Bentley blueline next fall.
Johnstown returns to 1ST SUMMIT ARENA Wednesday, March 6 for a 7 p.m. faceoff with Jamestown.
The homestand continues on Friday, March 8 for Fight Night II presented by Valley Printing. Four-time ECW Heavyweight Champion, “The Franchise” Shane Douglas will drop the ceremonial first puck and sign autographs.
Saturday, March is the annual Guns & Hoses game in conjunction with Brett Keisel Night. The two-time Super Bowl Champion will be on hand to drop the ceremonial first puck and sign autographs for fans.
