DESCRIPTION:
THE INTERNSHIP MUST BE COMPLETED IN PERSON. NO REMOTE INTERNSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. As a Communications Intern with the Johnstown Tomahawks, you will work directly with the Director of Media Relations within the Tomahawks office. Applicants must be a junior or senior in college, studying within some type of Communications major (Communications, Public Relations, Media Management, Multimedia, Digital Communications, etc.). The applicant must be available for on game days, which fall mainly on weekends and possibly holidays. Hours will vary depending on internship requirements from the applicant’s institution. INTERN DUTIES:
The intern’s duties will consist of, but are not limited to…
- Assist with designing content for flyers, forms, products.
- Assist with writing press releases and game recaps.
- Assist with game day operations, such as: will call, merchandise, 50/50, chuck-a-puck, etc.
- Assist with creating and posting social media content.
