Griffin comes from San Jose, CA and is a smooth skating forward with lots of tools. One of his biggest weapons is a great shot that has quickness and accuracy. #21 is a hard working player that gets in the right areas on the ice to find the puck. Leach is also a tough customer who isn’t afraid to mix it up if he has to. Always looking for ways to get better, he is constantly improving his game. A well-conditioned guy, he has been working very hard on the ice and in the community getting ready for the season. He is very outgoing, talkative and super friendly which all fans will really enjoy getting to know him! EXPERIENCE GRIFFIN LEACH! EXPERIENCE GREAT HOCKEY!
You are #21, why did you choose that number?
GL: I wear #21 because of Peter Forsberg who I grew up watching and trying to emulate.
Favorite place to eat in Johnstown so far?
GL: I love going to Hoss's so far as you get a ton of food and it's great!
Where do you currently live?
GL: I live in Windber with another teammate, our billet family is very nice, fun and really make us feel like we're part of the family!
Favorite movie?
GL: My favorite movie is The Godfather because it's a classic! Star-studded cast and awesome story lines, can't beat it!
Favorite music?
GL: I like almost all music but if I had to pick a favorite it would be alternative rock because of the vast number of great groups in that genre.
What do you look forward to this season?
GL: I am most looking forward to our team getting closer and chemistry improving on and off the ice, which will translate into a very successful season!
