The Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the Philadelphia Rebels by a final score of, 6-0 on Saturday night.
The opening period between the Johnstown Tomahawks and the Philadelphia Rebels belonged entirely to the Tomahawks. They initiated the scoring spree with a goal from Nick White, replicating his performance from the previous night. Will Moore assisted White’s goal, granting the Tomahawks an early lead against Philly. Following suit, Will Lawrence netted his team-leading 22nd goal of the season, with Taybor Aldrich providing the assist, extending the Tomahawks’ lead to 2-0. Shortly after, Nick White struck again, securing his second goal of the night, this time assisted by Zach Aben and Will Lawrence, amplifying the score to 3-0 in favor of the Tomahawks. Within 45 seconds, Hunter Fetterolf joined the scoring frenzy with his goal assisted by Dylan Shane and Chase Sandhu, bringing the tally to 4-0 in favor of the Tomahawks, concluding the exhilarating 1st period.
During the second period, there were no goals scored, thanks to Tomahawks’ goaltender Zack Ferris who delivered outstanding saves in front of a crowd of 2,885 fans at the 1ST SUMMIT Arena. As the second period came to an end, the score remained 4-0 in favor of the Johnstown Tomahawks.
Once more, the third period belonged entirely to the Tomahawks! Reid Lune seized his chance, scoring his 9th goal of the season with assistance from Zach Aben and Cade Baker, extending their lead to 5-0. Will Moore then bolstered the Tomahawks’ score with another goal, assisted by Zach Aben and Nick White, making it 6-0 in their favorGoaltender Zack Ferris proved unbeatable, repelling all 38 shots he faced to secure his third shutout of the season. With a final score of 6-0, the Tomahawks emerged triumphant over the Philadelphia Rebels.
