Johnstown Tomahawks Goaltender, Zack Ferris has announced his NCAA Division 1 Commitment to continue his hockey career at the United States Military Academy.
“I am extremely excited to announce my commitment to Army West Point,” said Zack Ferris. “I want to thank my family for all the support and sacrifices they have made over the years. I would also like to thank my friends and coaches who push me every day to be the best version of myself.”
The Pittsburgh, PA native, played 27 games for the Johnstown Tomahawks during the 2023-2024 season, recording a 2.64 GAA and a .924 SV% with two shutouts. Ferris began the 2024-2025 season with the West Kelowna Warriors of the British Columbia Hockey League before rejoining the Tomahawks in early October. Since his return, Ferris has been a force in net, posting a 10-4-0 record over 14 games with a 3.12 GAA and a .915 SV%

Ferris is set to join the prestigious United States Military Academy, commonly known as West Point, in West Point, New York. There, he will not only continue his hockey career but also serve as a member of the United States Army. The Army Black Knights compete in the Atlantic Hockey Association (AHA) and boast a storied tradition dating back to their inaugural season in 1903, making them one of the oldest college hockey programs in the nation.
