FLAHERTY NETS HAT TRICK AS TOMAHAWKS DEFEAT MOUNTAIN KINGS

The Johnstown Tomahawks dominated the New Hampshire Mountain Kings with a decisive 6-1 victory on Saturday evening, bouncing back from a tough 7-1 loss the night before. 

Ryan Flaherty opened the scoring in the first period with two quick goals, assisted by Adam Ondris and Taybor Aldrich. Sam Blanton added another to close out the first, giving Johnstown a commanding 3-0 lead.

The momentum continued in the second period when Dallas Potter notched his first goal as a Tomahawk just 1:47 into the period. Taybor Aldrich followed up with another unanswered goal, pushing the lead to 5-0. New Hampshire managed to get on the board late in the second, making it 5-1 heading into the third.

In the final period, Ryan Flaherty completed his hat trick with an unassisted goal, sealing the 6-1 win. Johnstown’s goalie, Tommy O’Donnell, was stellar in net, stopping 30 of 31 shots.

The Tomahawks return to action this Wednesday, September 18th, at 7:00 PM for an exhibition game against the U.S. National Team Development Program at 1ST SUMMIT Arena. Fans can purchase tickets on the team’s website or at the Tomahawks main office.
