Former Pittsburgh Penguin Phil Bourque to Attend Select-a-Seat and Open House

Jul 30, 2012

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Tomahawks are pleased to announce that two-time Stanley Cup Champion and current Pittsburgh Penguins’ radio color commentator Phil Bourque will attend the Tomahawks Select-a-Seat and Open House on Thursday, August 2 at the War Memorial Arena. Bourque will be present for an informative Q&A session and meet & greet from 4-6 p.m.

Those attending will have the opportunity to speak with Mr. Bourque about his hockey career, which included 13 seasons in the NHL as a gritty winger and defenseman who played alongside Penguins greats such as Mario Lemieux, Ron Francis, and Bryan Trottier. With a Q&A format, this is an excellent opportunity for youth hockey players, coaches, and parents to learn more from a professional hockey player who has remained dedicated to the development of hockey in the Western Pennsylvania area.

Open to the public, the Select-a-Seat and Open House, presented by Domino’s, will take place from 4–8 p.m. This free event allows all prospective season ticket buyers to preview and purchase the best available seats for the Tomahawks 2012-2013 inaugural season in the NAHL. The event will also feature the unveiling of the team’s mascot and introductions to Tomahawks Head Coach Jason Spence and Assistant Coach Mike Letizia.

Those attending will also have the opportunity to meet other members of the Tomahawks staff, who will be available to answer any questions about the team. Food and drinks will be provided free of charge.
