This afternoon, the North American Hockey League announced the rosters for the upcoming Top Prospects Tournament, which will be held February 6 and 7 at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Two players will be representing the Tomahawks and playing for the East Division this year.

ANTHONY GALANTE

After being acquired from the Aberdeen Wings early this season, Anthony Galante has found success in Johnstown. The Morganville, New Jersey native has 30 points (13G, 17A) in 28 games with the Tomahawks this season with two of his goals being game winners.

RYAN VELLUCCI

Serving as captain this season, Ryan Vellucci has been a great presence for the Tomahawks on and off the ice since he first joined the team as an affiliate in the 2020-21 season. The Northville, Michigan native has 36 career points (14G, 22A) with Johnstown. Vellucci’s next game will be his 100th in a Tomahawks sweater, happening on January 27 on the road against the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks.

The NAHL Top Prospects Tournament is a highly scouted event with many NHL and NCAA Division I scouts in attendance to watch the best of the best play for two days. The main purpose of the event is to bring in some of the best players in the league who do not have college commitments yet and create opportunities for them to advance their careers. This is the second consecutive season the event is being held at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. Tickets to the event can be purchased here: http://nahl.com/tpt/tickets/.
