JOHNSTOWN, Penn. — The Johnstown Tomahawks will battle for a weekend sweep against WB Scranton tonight at 7:30pm, after a 5-3 win last night. Tonight will be the Tomahawks first Pucks and Prayers Night presented by YoungLife.

With the New Jersey Titan’s loss last night against Maine, last night’s game was a big win for the Tomahawks. Johnstown (56pts) is now only 3 points away from grabbing the 1st place spot for the East Division.

Players to Watch

Johnstown

  • Forward, Noah Basarab (17) could easily come out with the most goals scored in this series after his two goals in last nights game, giving him a total of 16 goals this season.
  • Tristan Poissant (21) was named the #1 star of the game in last night’s match up, after his 3 assists and assertive offensive skills. Poissant now sits as the 4th on the team with total number of points. 

Wilkes/Barre Scranton

  • Joining the Knights this season, after two seasons in Alaska, Sutton McDonald (3) was all over the box score last night with goals, assists and penalties. It will be hard to miss him on the ice, as he stands 6’4” off the ice.
  • Veteran, Zak Currie (9) has been racking up his total points his past three games through goals and assists. Currie is the Knights 2nd top goal scorer this season and 5th in assists.
