Hawks Acquire Tender from Odessa

Oct 27, 2018

JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown Tomahawks, proud members of the North American Hockey League, announced that the team has acquired a tender from the Odessa Jackalopes in exchange for goalie Kade Phipps.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.
Johnstown returns to 1st Summit Arena TONIGHT at 7 p.m., for Hat-Trick or Treat presented by Forever Media. Fans are encouraged to dress up and participate in an indoor trick-or-treat at the game. Souvenir tote bags will be given out courtesy of Forever Media.
Sunday, Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. is the traditional Pucks & Paws event. Fans can bring their friendly dogs to the game for a $5 dog ticket. Souvenir dog leashes will be given away courtesy of Cambria Vet Care. The Tomahawks will accepted donations of dog food and pet cleaning supplies for the Humane Society of Cambria County.
