Historic Season Ends as Fairbanks Edges Hawks 6-3

BLAINE, MN – The Johnstown Tomahawks’ historic season came to an end Sunday afternoon as the Fairbanks Ice Dogs edged the Tomahawks 5-3 at Fogerty Arena.

1st Period Recap
  • The Ice Dogs conveted after the Tomahawks turned the puck over when Matt Koethe finished a pass from Luke Ciolli for a 1-0 lead.
  • Fairbanks increased their lead to 2-0 with a power play goal from Noah Wilson just 48 seconds later.
  • Tanner Edwards made it 3-0 Ice Dogs at the 4:15 mark of the first period.
  • Edwards notched his second goal of the game at 15:14 to send the Ice Dogs into intermission up 4-0.
