JOHNSTOWN, PA- Former Pittsburgh Steelers running back and NFL Hall of Fame Inductee Jerome “the Bus” Bettis will make a public appearance in Johnstown on Thursday, December 8th, 2022. The Tomahawks announced today that Bettis will be on hand for a private pregame event as well as a one-hour public meet and greet session.
“It’s always great to have one of these athletes come out and meet fans at our game” said Derek Partsch, Tomahawks director of business operations. “We have hosted a bunch of former athletes in the past and they’ve always been great. Talking and planning everything with Jerome’s camp has been easy. This will be a nice event for Steelers fans and Tomahawks fans alike. We expect a nice crowd.”
The evening will begin with a dinner and Q/A session with Bettis during a private, sponsored ceremony. After dinner concludes, Bettis will drop the ceremonial “first puck” prior to the start of the Tomahawks game against the Maine Nordiques. The night will be capped off by a 60-minute public meet and greet session during the Tomahawks game. Tickets for the meet and greet will go on sale November 22 at 10 am.
