Johnstown Falls 4-2 to Jamestown

The Johnstown Tomahawks fell 4-2 Saturday night on the road to the Jamestown Rebels as Jamestown gets the weekend sweep over Johnstown.

Cole Bianchin netted the first and only goal of the opening period 9:30 in, scoring his fifth goal of the season.

Stephen Kyrkostas extended Johnstown’s lead to 2-0 5:23 into the 2nd period. Jamestown responded though with a goal from Luke Devries at the 11:28 mark of the period, followed by the game-tying goal from Kolby Amici three minutes later, knotting the game at 2 for the start of the 3rd period.

Jamestown took the lead for the first time in the 3rd period with a goal from AJ Reed, putting the Rebels ahead 3-2. John Lundy then extended the lead for the Rebels, making the score 4-2 Jamestown with 6:45 remaining in regulation, and Jamestown would hold on to win.

The Tomahawks look ahead to next weekend as they head to Middletown for two games against the New Jersey Titans on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2.
