Johnstown Falls to Maryland

The Johnstown Tomahawks fell to the Maryland Black Bears by a score of 4-2 on Sunday evening.

A mere 42 seconds into the initial period, Jaden Johnson scored a goal for the Tomahawks with assistance from Lukas Klemm and Taybor Aldrich, putting the Tomahawks on the scoreboard. Despite this, Maryland quickly responded with a goal of their own a few minutes later. Throughout the first period, the tension between these East Division rivals remained palpable, yet the score remained deadlocked at one after the full 20 minutes of play.

The Black Bears initiated the scoring in the second period, securing a 2-1 lead over the Tomahawks with a power-play goal. However, Justin Gibson leveled the game at two with a power-play goal for the Tomahawks, assisted by Will Lawrence and Cade Baker. As a result, the teams entered the locker room with the score tied at two.

In the third period, Maryland notched two goals without a response, including an empty-net goal, ultimately securing a 4-2 victory over the Johnstown Tomahawks.
