Knights Shut Out Tomahawks

PITTSTON, Pa – The Johnstown Tomahawks fired 35 shots on goal against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights but were unable to find the net as the Knights wont he game 3-0 Saturday night at the Revolution Ice Centre.

The Tomahawks gave up the game’s first goal for the fourth straight goal as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton forward Adrian Danchenko netted a goal at 16:02 of the first period. Tim Gelatt and Elijah Latimer picked up the assists on Danchenko’s third of the season.

The second period saw neither team score a goal but the Tomahawks did earn chances against Knights goaltender Grant Valentine.

In the third period the Knights put the game out of reach with goals from Mike Gelatt and Jack Olmstead to set the final score at 3-0.

Grant Valentine stopped all 35 shots he faced in the victory. His record improved to 8-9-0 on the season.

Hotte halted 30 of 33 Knights shots. His record moved to 5-5-1 on the season.

The Tomahawks and Knights renew acquaintances Friday, Nov. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.
