About Lady Hawks Teammate Program
Created by the Players & Coaches of the Johnstown Tomahawks Organization, TEAMmate gives girls of all ages an opportunity to develop and learn the fundamentals of the game with great individual attention. Each player will be assigned to a “Big Teammate” that will utilize a one-on-one creative teaching approach. The “big” Teammate will be with the young player every step of the program and learning process. From helping with equipment questions to teaching and showing how to properly skate, shoot, pass and all different aspects of the game, including team building. Big Teammates will be comprised of Tomahawks players, under the supervisor of the Tomahawks coaching staff.
The program will be the most productive 8 hours in a young player’s on and off ice development. Each player will be taught at their own pace with proper corrective teaching and encouragement will be applied during all facets of the program.
