MARGEL NAMED NAHL FORWARD OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH

Apr 6, 2021

Johnstown Tomahawks forward Will Margel has been awarded the NAHL’s Forward of the Month for March. The Potomac, Maryland native earned 19 points (14G, 5A) in nine games during March for the Tomahawks, including a hat trick on March 20 in a Tomahawks 4-3 win over the Northeast Generals.

“Will had an exceptional month for us with outstanding production,” said head coach Mike Letizia on Margel’s play throughout March. “He has been a huge catalyst for our team success. His ability to have an impact on the game has been remarkable. Additionally, he has been very clutch for us, finding big goals at big times. Will is fully deserving of this league recognition and we look forward to more to come from him.”

Since joining the Tomahawks in late December, the star forward has 19 goals and 17 assists in 26 games played in a Johnstown uniform, averaging 1.83 points per game. Margel is committed to play Division I hockey beginning next season for the University of New Hampshire.
