Mason-Dixon Rivalry Renewed

JOHNSTOWN – Your Johnstown Tomahawks have clinched a playoff spot after sweeping the Jamestown Rebels last weekend at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA.

The Tomahawks used an outstanding effort between the pipes from reigning East Division Star of the Week, Carter McPhail, and timely goals to register their first sweep of the Rebels this season.

Now, the Hawks continue their February homestand with a three-game set with the visiting Maryland Black Bears.

Goaltender Carter McPhail moonwalked his way to a record of 21-3-0 with two victories against the Rebels. The Fenton, Mich., native is 4-0-0 against Maryland this season with a save percentage of .956 and a goals against average of 1.47.

 

SPARKS FLY

When these two team meet, it tends to get a little rough out on the ice. The last meeting between these two clubs in Maryland saw 179 combined penalty minutes.

 

BRICK WALL
