Jan 2, 2024

Securing his second NAHL East Division Star of the Week title this season, Jacob Osborne, goaltender for the Johnstown Tomahawks, showcased an impressive weekend performance against the Northeast Generals. Originating from Ottawa, Ontario, Osborne stopped 56 of 59 shots in the two wins versus the Generals. On Saturday, Osborne made 32 saves in a 2-1 win. On Sunday, he made 24 saves in a 3-2 win.  “Jacob was at the top of his game for us this weekend like we really needed him to be given the two challenging games we had. He was up to the task both nights making some spectacular saves when needed, and made the confident routine saves. Our team needed two wins at home, and he certainly stepped up and led the way. With his strong academic background coupled with this type of strong play, Jacob is showing that he is fully capable of being an NCAA Division 1 goaltender,” said Tomahawks head coach Mike Letizia. Currently holding a season record of 14-4-1, with a 3.07 goals-against average (GAA) and a .911 save percentage, the ’03-born goalie has emerged as a formidable force in his debut season with the Tomahawks
