Quetell Commits to Army

Oct 11, 2017

JOHNSTOWN– The Johnstown Tomahawks, proud members of the North American Hockey League, are pleased to announce the commitment of defenseman Andrew Quetell to play Division I hockey at Army for the 2019-2020 season.
Quetell, a Cleveland native, is in his second season with the Tomahawks after returning to the club in September after a stint in the United States Hockey League.
He has suited up for 64 career games, earning one goal and 13 assists.
“I couldn’t be happier for Andrew and his family on his commitment to Army West Point,” head coach Mike Letizia said. “He is an outstanding hockey player, but more importantly a fantastic person. He has a great attitude every day and is such a low maintenance person to coach, never asks for anything special, just comes to the rink every day and gets to work. There is a certain level of standard that the staff at West Point likely holds their recruits to, and Andrew checks those boxes on and off the ice.”
The Tomahawks open the home portion of their schedule this Saturday, Oct. 14 with Hawktoberfest presented by 1ST SUMMIT BANK. Four-time Stanley Cup champion Paul Coffey will drop the ceremonial first puck. Coffey’s appearance is presented in part by 1ST SUMMIT BANK, Laurel Auto Group, Emaps, Inco Beverage, Johnstown Construction, Roxbury Tire and Valley Printing. Mr. Coffey will be available to meet fans and sign autographs following the ceremonial puck drop behind section 9.
Fans can purchase individual tickets by visiting the 1ST SUMMT ARENA @ Cambria County War Memorial box office, calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000. The arena box office is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
