REID LUNE ANNOUNCES COLLEGE COMMITMENT

Johnstown Tomahawks forward Reid announces NCAA Commitment to the University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

“I would like to thank all my family, coaches, and everyone else who has helped me along the way to play college hockey,” said Reid Lune. “I couldn’t have done it without their support!”

During his three seasons in the NAHL with over 150 games played, Reid Lune showcased his talent across three different teams. Starting with the Jamestown Rebels in the 2021-2022 season, he appeared in 59 games, contributing 8 goals and 14 assists, totaling 22 points. Moving on to the El Paso Rhinos for the 2022-2023 season, Lune played in 44 games, scoring four goals and assisting eight times, accumulating 12 points. For his final season of junior hockey, Lune wore the Tomahawks Jersey. Lune played 47 games this past season, netting 10 goals and providing 18 assists, resulting in 28 points for the Johnstown Tomahawks.

“We are proud to welcome Reid Lune to the Falcon family”, said the University of Wisconsin- River Falls Associate Head Coach Sean Roadhouse. “Through the recruitment process, we discovered that Reid is not only a talented player but also has great character and comes from a wonderful family. He will fit in seamlessly here and work tirelessly towards his goals of receiving a great education and preparing to play professional hockey after college.”

The Peoria, Illinois native will head to the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in River Falls, Wisconsin where he will join 20+ NAHL alumni on UW-River Falls. UW-River Falls plays in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and are 19-time WIAC Champions. The three-time NCAA  Champions play their home games out of the W.H. Hunt Arena.
