STARK COMMMITS TO UW-SUPERIOR

Aug 23, 2021

Tomahawks forward Reed Stark announced his commitment to play Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets this upcoming season.

The Suffern, New York native tallied 32 points (12G, 20A) in 47 games this past season with the Tomahawks, in addition to an astounding five goals in five games during the Robertson Cup playoffs.

“We brought in Reed right after Christmas time during the 2019-20 season and I think he got acclimated well in a short period of time,” said Head Coach Mike Letizia about the commitment of the veteran forward. “This past season, he made a huge leap as a player and he got better as the season went along. The second half of the year he really took off and he was a huge contributor for us and then in the playoffs he was on fire.”

When Stark arrived in Johnstown after being acquired from the Jamestown Rebels in 2019, he accounted for 11 points (4G, 7A) in 16 games.

I think he will be a great fit in Superior with Coach McKenna and I think he will be able to contribute and make a difference right away.”
