“The Franchise” Shane Douglas To Appear at Fight Night

JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown Tomahawks, in conjunction with Valley Printing, are pleased to announce that four-time ECW Heavyweight Champion Shane Douglas will make an appearance during the team;s second annual Fight Night on Friday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m.
Additionally, Phoenix Pro Wrestling will hold a special show immediately following the game on March 8.
Douglas, a Pittsburgh native, will be on hand to drop the ceremonial first puck and sign autographs along with wrestling legend Dominic DeNucci, who trained Douglas and WWE legend Mick Foley.
Known as “The Franchise,” Douglas held a dozen championships between ECW, WCW, and the WWF and is a five-time world champion: a four-time ECW World Heavyweight Champion and a one-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion. As ECW Champion, he holds the records for most combined days as champion (874) and the longest single reign in history (406 days).
The Tomahawks return to action tonight for Faith and Family Night presented by the Laurel Highlands Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Saturday, Feb. 9 is Princesses, Sheroes and Superheroes Night presented by JAHA. Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite heroes or princesses.
The Tomahawks round out their three-game set with Maryland with Undies Sunday. Fans can bring packages of new, unopened underwear to toss onto the ice for local shelters and charities.
