Tomahawks Announce 2018-19 Schedule

JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown Tomahawks, in collaboration with the North American Hockey League, announced its 2018-19 regular season schedule.
In total, the Tomahawks will play 60 games with 28 contests being played at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA at Cambria County War Memorial.
Going into their seventh season, Johnstown will continue to play in the East Division along with five other teams: Jamestown Rebels, Maryland Black Bears, New Jersey Titans, Northeast Generals and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.
The 2018-19 season will begin in September with road trips to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Minnesota (NAHL Showcase) and Maryland.
The team returns to Johnstown for its home opener on Friday, Oct. 5 against Jamestown at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA. Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
November features seven home games beginning with the first visit from the expansion Maryland Black Bears for a two-game series Nov. 9-10
The Tomahawks continue their November home stand with two games against New Jersey Nov. 16-17.
Then, the team invites fans to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Tomahawks as the team hosts three games during the holiday week. Wednesday, Nov. 21, the ‘Hawks host Maryland and on Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24, the Northeast Generals come to town for a two-game set.
In December, the Tomahawks are home four times including a visit from Northeast for the traditional New Year’s Eve hockey weekend.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton visits Johnstown for the first time in 2018-19 for a weekend series on Jan. 18-19.
February’s slate contains seven homes games including four home games against the Jamestown Rebels (Feb. 1-2 and Feb. 15-16) and one homestand against Maryland (Feb. 8-10).
The home schedule wraps in up in March with four home games against the Knights on March 8-9 and the last home weekend of March 29-30.
A full schedule of promotional nights, specialty games, times and community events will be released at a later date.
