JOHNSTOWN – The Johnstown Tomahawks have released their 2018-19 pre-season schedule, team president and general manager Richard Bouchard announced today. The schedule will feature four games against two opponents and will include two games played at the North Central Recreation Center and two games played at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA.
The Tomahawks open their preseason schedule with a weekend series against the Binghamton Jr. Senators of the NA3HL on Friday, August 31 (7:30 p.m.) and Saturday, Sept. 1 (2 p.m.) at NCRC in Ebensburg. Both games are FREE to the public.
The following weekend, the United States National Team Development Program will visit 1ST SUMMIT ARENA for a two-game series on Friday, Sept. 7 (7:30 p.m.) and Saturday, Sept. 8 (3 p.m.)
The USNTDP is the pinnacle of USA Hockey’s amateur development program. The top elite players from across the United States are selected for the national program and play in numerous games featuring teams from around the world.
The USNTDP is headquartered in Plymouth, Mich., and has developed future NHL stars such as Jack Eichel, Cam Fowler and current Pittsburgh Penguins forward Phil Kessel.
Tickets to the games against Team USA will be $7 to the general public for any seat in the arena and will go on sale in the coming weeks. Tomahawks season ticket holders receive FREE admission.
Both games against Team USA will be broadcast live on HockeyTV.

The Tomahawks open the 2018-19 season on the road against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Friday, Sept. 14. The team returns to Johnstown for its home opener on Friday, Oct. 5 against the Jamestown Rebels.
