JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Johnstown Tomahawks are excited to announce the Cambria County War Memorial Arena replica giveaway, courtesy of Somerset Hospital, to the first 2,000 fans on Saturday March 12 as the Tomahawks take on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights at 7 p.m.

Established in 1950, the War Memorial was built to honor local veterans. It has been a focal point in the city of Johnstown for over six decades, hosting professional and youth hockey as well as concerts and other events.

The arena, along with the city, was showcased during a nationally televised game after the community captured the first-ever Kraft Hockeyville, USA.

“It’s been a memorable year for hockey in Johnstown and this is the ultimate hockey souvenir for fans of the historic War Memorial Arena,” said Director of Business Operations Jean Desrochers. “We anticipate a lot of excitement for this unique giveaway and we encourage fans to purchase tickets ahead of time.”

Along with the replica War Memorial giveaway, fans have another reason to get excited for the upcoming weekend.

The popular Faith & Family Night makes its return and is presented by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, on Friday, March 11 at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena.

The Tomahawks invite fans to celebrate their faith with family & friends while helping to raise funds for the Laurel Highlands FCA. Faith and Family Night begins at 6:00 p.m. with an opening set from the Crucified band, followed by a word of Faith from the FCA organization. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
