TOMAHAWKS DETHRONE MOUNTAIN KINGS

The Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the New Hampshire Mountain Kings by a final score of 6-4.

As both teams battled for crucial points in the NAHL East Division, anticipation filled the arena as the Johnstown Tomahawks faced off against the New Hampshire Mountain Kings. The game started with a measured pace, with neither side able to capitalize in the opening 17 minutes. Yet, it was the Mountain Kings who broke the deadlock, taking a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, leaving the Tomahawks playing catch-up.

The second period took quite a turn as Jaden Johnson started off by tying the game at one on the power play, assisted by Cade Baker and Lukas Klemm. Just 13 seconds later, Cade Baker propelled the Tomahawks into the lead with a goal assisted by Alexey Yarmulnik and Chase Sandhu, putting them ahead 2-1. Hunter Fetterolf then scored against his former team, securing his first goal as a Tomahawk, with assists from Hank Reed and Taylor Aldrich, extending the lead to 3-1. However, New Hampshire managed to score on their power play, narrowing the gap to 3-2. With just under two minutes remaining, Justin Rapp added to the Tomahawks’ lead with a goal, making it 4-2 in favor of the Tomahawks. At the end of the period, the Tomahawks led the Mountain Kings 4-2.

Will Moore starts the third period with a goal for the Tomahawks, assisted by Lukas Klemm and Zach Aben, extending their lead to 5-2. New Hampshire responds with another goal from Costanzo, completing a hat trick. Nevertheless, Sean Morgan adds another goal for the Tomahawks, his first of the season making it 6-3. Despite New Hampshire narrowing the score to 6-4, the Tomahawks ultimately triumph over the Mountain Kings.
