Tomahawks Drop 4-2 Contest to Fairbanks; Game Three Sunday at 4 p.m.

BLAINE, MN – The Johnstown Tomahawks dropped a 4-2 decision to the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in Game Two of the Robertson Cup Semi-Final Saturday night at Fogerty Arena.

1st Period Recap
Much the yesterday afternoon, Fairbanks collected the game’s first goal when Jonathan Sorenson deflected a John Stampohar shot past Carter McPhail for a 1-0 Ice Dogs lead. 4
Ice Dogs forward Brendan MacLaren increased the Tomahawks lead to 2-0 six minutes with his first goal of the evening.
Johnstown went work on the comeback trail as Oliver Benwell potted his 10th goal of the post season.

2nd Period Recap
At the 1:23 mark of the period, MacLaren added his second goal of the afternoon for a 3-1 Ice Dogs lead.
Ten minutes after the Ice Dogs goal, Roman Kraemer scored his seventh of the playoffs from a Benwell pass to cut the Ice Dogs lead to 3-2.
